So, now for some, a stupid, murderous, 17-year-old incel

is a hero? FFS!

In reality, he is a stupid boy who has been taken in by the ugly, racist, misogynistic, gun-loving rhetoric that has come out of Trump and his base for a very long time.

He drove across the border with his AR-15, all fired-up to "protect America," but he is so stupid that he shot three people and is now charged with first degree murder. Two or three years from now, he might actually go to trial for that. Maybe. More likely, he will be allowed to plead that charge down to simple manslaughter and spend almost no time in prison, because he's a young white guy and painfully stupid, to boot.

Meanwhile, the cop who fired seven bullets into the back of a black man who was just trying to get back into his car, has not been charged at all, and may never be.

Welcome to Donald Trump's America!

A few weeks earlier, he attended a Trump rally in Des Moines, sitting in the front row and posting a TikTok video from the Jan. 30 event, BuzzFeed News reported. The video, which has since been deleted, appeared to match C-SPAN footage of Rittenhouse standing just to the left of the lectern, according to the news site.

The Trump campaign distanced itself from Rittenhouse and his video late on Wednesday, with spokesman Tim Murtaugh telling The Post that the president had “repeatedly and consistently condemned all forms of violence.”

state and federal crimes do not preclude one another. (certainly in play here, as I'll bet this goes up as murder 1) And -- even back in the day, there was such a thing as extradition. While fleeing jurisdiction is a time honored criminal tactic -- it does not render the victimized state powerless. Frustrated perhaps. But saying that your jurisdiction does not have the resources to pursue something (as is often pleaded) is not at all the same thing as saying the laws are not there.

On June 17, 2019, the US Supreme Court issued a 7-2 decision in Gamble v. United States, reaffirming the Court's longstanding "separate sovereigns" doctrine under the Double Jeopardy Clause of the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution. First announced more than 170 years ago, the separate sovereigns doctrine permits the federal government and a state government to bring separate criminal prosecutions against the same person for the same conduct. Justice Alito's majority opinion relied on the Double Jeopardy Clause's text, which prohibits only duplicative prosecutions for "the same offence"—i.e., the violation of a particular law. Because each sovereign can define its own offenses, the Court explained that a single act can qualify as two separate "offences," because a person can violate different sovereigns' laws at the same time.

a 17 year-old child can acquire an assault weapon
an immature radicalized child
can murder two people and walk away to another state with impunity
the extremely toxic culture that created him lauds him as a hero
and everyone on the right and the non-existent "moderate conservative Republican" turns a blind eye to it all

Driving your 17 year old armed with an assault rifle to a protest is just as irresponsible. She should share in this horror and is just as responsible for these deaths.

Maybe you don't know what that means.....

Incel = involuntary celebate.

for a 17 yr old. On the other hand -- have heard him labeled as a boogaloo boy as well. Also kind of a stretch? I think it might kind of boil down to who you're hanging with. Whose message are you inhaling? Already know the kid was a blue line and militia buff .... What else is he smoking?

(incidentally -- what "militia" is allowing a kid barely old enough to drive -- to "hang" with them? with a full clip?)

millions of adults of both genders who are, and only a very small fraction are misogynists or misandrists. Many for medical conditions (look at any prescription medicine for any serious condition and damn near all of them list urinary and sexual side effects), yes, some have mental or cognitive issues that prevent them from making close encounters, or rarely, e.g. some autistics, not sure these are the people progressive people should be demonizing.

Some have ethical issues too, yeah I'd like to have more sex myself, but I refuse for ethical reasons to do misogynist things like spewing a lot of smooth-talking bullshit and pretend to be a long-term relationship prospect in order to get laid and keep getting laid. Just a Golden Rule thing I guess.

And there is a hell of a lot more involuntary celibates during Covid times.

Why drag incels into this? The vast majority of them are truly unfortunate cases and never harm anyone. To be incel due to looks/mental issues/etc is truly a terrible fate I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Trump's MAGA minions are salivating over the possibility of murdering liberals without fear of retribution.

Lynching of African Americans will soon expand to lynching of liberals and it will be ignored by Trump's authorities.

This is what we are in for if Trump wins again.

through some legal loophole. Simple manslaughter, maybe but I just feel in my gut, since overnight he's a big sensation, a hero of all militia's white supremacist members, he'll walk. And his mother or whoever drove him to that protest, too.

The police are a lost cause unless some 'decent', if this is possible, police start outing these murderers full of racist hate. Normal trumpers these days.

One of the heroes of those losers is Marc Lépine
Marc Lépine and the École Polytechnique Massacre
Lépine killed 14 women, shot and injured 10 other women and 4 men
Lépine claimed he was fighting feminism
Nothing these pathetic losers do surprise me
