General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI went crazy on some coworkers this morning
They were cheering the kid in Wisconsin and his murder.
I got vocal telling them they cant possibly be defending cold blooded murder.
They continued and I said if they were not able to stop these shootings with assault weapons, they would all lose their precious right to bear arms.
They are all gun nuts and racist!

(5,227 posts)People have become so hostile and mean in tRumps America. If you have a HR, I'd report. If not, maybe you might find a less hostile place to work? If not, good luck and God bless. Keep on venting here.

(14,853 posts)I've been guilty of being too quiet in the past around those kinds of coworkers. Not always, but sometimes.
The last several years have been the worst that I can remember. I wasn't born until the late-60's, so I wasn't around to observe the earlier racism, but the last decade or so has been the worst that I've ever seen.
And it seemed like most of my white coworkers were fine with Obama too... UNTIL the hate-talk on right-wing media was directed more that way. And they're obviously still doing it!

(4,268 posts)Called a teenhood friend of mine the other day and he started talking about covid, Bill Gates, that "witch" Pelosi, the WHO secretary not "even being a doctor", trump being the "richest man in the world", "criminal Dr Fauci".......you know where this is going.
Anyways I told him a few truths, stop watching fox and ended the "conversation" somewhat abruptly. Our friendship is now on pause.
I am done with trying to deal with those idiots friends, relatives etc.

(5,494 posts)This was seen as a "victory" for the right. It was seen as someone from the right vanquishing someone from the left. This is even coming from "moderate" Conservatives.
Americans are so polarized now that they're supporting people killing each other. This is what Putin wants. If spilling blood is encouraged now, where is the bottom?

(82,849 posts)I have a feeling I'm going to go off on someone (don't know who) soon. "What, there's not enough cruelty, violence and death for you? 200,000 dead from the pandemic? Citizens being gunned down in the streets by trigger happy cops and kids? Hurricanes scrubbing whole towns off the map along the Gulf Coast? Families ripped apart and caged along the border? When are you going to have your fill of blood? When will you blood lust be sated? When? I wanna know right now how many more maimed and dead will finally satisfy you."

(34,489 posts)Though he's got Fox News, the potus and other big names supporting him, you never know. I wouldn't be surprised if no charges are brought even though he murdered 2 people. I'm reading on social media how both were rapists or something like that. As if that makes it ok they were gunned down and murdered by this stupid kid.

(45,439 posts)since Obama took them away for 8 years, or so the gun companies kept saying as people bought more guns.
Ironically Trump is bad for gun sales. People bought more when they thought Obama was going to ban them.

(7,341 posts)The company has zero tolerance on toxic behavior like that in their code of conduct policy. Sure they'd go online afterwards crying about their so-called "free speech" rights being violated, but they'd still be ignorant and unemployed.

(34,489 posts)They are cheering all on social media as well. And when I say they, I mean Trumpers, right winger idiots and QuackAnons. I'd like to ask some of these cheering idiots if they would send their 17 year old to a protest at night with a weapon visibly showing.
