DOSE OF JOE -- Aug 27

Friends -- see below for today's Dose of Joe.

At 3 PM ET, Kamala Harris will deliver remarks in Washington, DC on President Trump's failures to contain COVID-19 and protect working families from the economic fallout. You can watch HERE.

Yesterday, former Secretary of Defense and Republican Senator Bill Cohen endorsed Joe Biden, citing the “the serious need of a leader with optimism and competence who gives us hope.”

The Blue Green Alliance, which unites America’s largest labor unions and its most influential environmental organizations, announced their first-ever presidential endorsement of Joe Biden for President.

Joe released a statement on Women’s Equality Day, stating that “it is up to us to carry forward the banner of equality for the next generation— to build on the legacy of Shirley Chisholm and Geraldine Ferraro.” Kamala published an op-ed in the Washington Post discussing and honoring the generations of women who paved the way for her to become the first women of color on a major party ticket. And Dr. Jill Biden released a video honoring her grandmother and the generations of women who fought for the right to vote.

In a recent Ipsos poll of registered voters conducted for Thomson Reuters, Biden leads Trump by 7 points.

JOE’S TWEETS TO AMPLIFY

@JoeBiden: 180,000 people have died from this COVID crisis. And the heartbreaking truth is that it didn't have to happen this way.

@JoeBiden: This moment demands moral leadership. And these players answered by standing up, speaking out, and using their platform for good. Now is not the time for silence.

@JoeBiden: 100 years ago today, the 19th Amendment was certified, giving some women the right to vote. But we still have further to go. We must carry forward the banner of equality and create that more perfect union we've always strived to be. #WomensEqualityDay
