Republican National Cognitive Dissonance

So the same folks who are yelling "LAW AND ORDER" at the top of their lungs are simultaneously cheering a double murder committed by a vigilante teenager who crossed state lines, violated a local curfew so he could bring his loaded AR-15 to a riot, shot three people, and then fled the scene of the crime. What a hero!

How do these people manage to function?

Talk radio is full on with the Pence/Kudlow type world upside down story. The RNC is sunshine and rainbows oh and black people! while the DNC was doom and gloom. The Obama years were like the intro video in The Hunger Games about the revolution. Sadness darkness and economic ruin.

Just letting everyone know - they’ve actually gone FURTHER off the edge.

in America. It is now obvious there is a large percentage of people incapable of critical thinking in the US. If we are ever going to get out of this mess, we have to figure out why this has happened. Weak minds just cannot support a Democracy.

1. The take over of Boards of Education all over the country by repubs since the 1980s.

2. Four decades of unchallenged hate radio that blankets rural America with contempt for democrats and liberal ideals.

3. A media that would rather promote a horse race for ratings, than report on serious campaigns for the highest offices of the land.

4. A huge class of Americans who don't vote for whatever reason.

That's how it happened. There's more, sure, but I think these four things are key.

As people do better, they start voting like Republicans - unless they have too much education and vote Democratic, which proves there can be too much of a good thing.
