Milwaukee, WI - Wisconsin Lutheran College today announced that after further review with careful consideration of the escalating events in Kenosha, the WLC Board of Regents and the College's Administration have jointly decided to present a different speaker instead of the Vice President of the United States, Michael R. Pence, at the Saturday, August 29, 2020, commencement. The College is pleased to announce that Rev. Mark Jeske of St. Marcus Lutheran Church has agreed to serve as the commencement speaker.

(15,325 posts)After awhile don't all Cultists morph into each other's dark psychosys to the point where 'creep' becomes the obvious standout feature?
I think its what brings cults together & keeps them together. That one common feature
Like Epsteins pedo group.
Trump cultists have a special kind of creepy bond also.

(10,142 posts)The college is affiliated with the Wisconsin Synod, a very right-wing Lutheran sect (not ELCA, the normal Lutherans, which is pretty liberal). Im sure theyre still Trumpers and calling us baby-killers.

(54 posts)That church fully supports Trump and Pence.. I am sure maybe the VP pussed out from going with everything going on in Wisconsin. I would hardly think this will cause vote swings one way or another.

(225 posts)The Board of Regents might have worried about protestors disrupting the ceremony and followed Saul Alinksy's idea of doing the right thing for the wrong reason.

(25,816 posts)From what I've seen, the cops and city are firmly trumpian.
They're not doing this as a concession to the commie protesters.
Mikie probably asked them to cancel him.

(114 posts)Reading a "friend's" comments who is an orange devil fan......this is the repugs explanation-the college was afraid VP Pence would get hurt so asked him not to come for his own safety.

The only people playing rough are on THAT side of the aisle. Things in Portland didn't start getting overheated, to begin with, until the stormtroopers arrived.
