Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIs Kellyanne Conway the anonymous WH staff member?
The one who has actually written at least one article in the NY Times exposing Trump.
I read this person will reveal his/herself this Fall.
She is leaving the WH soon, so it sort of adds up.

(16,616 posts)Reading the book A WARNING, it seems to be someone with a background possibly in history and international relations and someone who works in one of the agencies, like DHS. Anonymous might already be out in the public eye, just not saying he/she is Anonymous. This sounds bad, but I don't think Conway is smart enough to write a book like "A WARNING." (I'll apologize if she turns out to be Anonymous)
Miles Taylor is a possibility. Like Anonymous, he claims to speak for a small group of "Others" who will come forward.
It's possible Anonymous has come forward, but just hasn't announced that he/she is Anonymous.
Someone else came forward this week too from DHS, a woman whose name I can't recall.
Some people think it's Kirstjen Nielsen. I was leaning towards Dan Coats, but now I'm having doubts.
EDIT: It's not necessarily "White House staff"; it's an official in the administration.

(47,259 posts)but I read the book A Warning and that was written by an intellectual with vast knowledge and understanding of history and world events. That's not Kellyanne. It is very likely it is someone we aren't even familiar with, though Miles Taylor is a possibility. I pictured someone older though, with more years of government experience.
I do believe Kellyanne does plan on writing a book, probably has already started it and I think that is the primary reason she stayed so long in this administration. Her book would probably read more like a tabloid expose. Now that she's going home to take care of "family issues", she can finish it up. If she doesn't hurry, she will miss her window of opportunity, as the market is being flooded with tell-all books, and there are only so many that people will read. I'm committed to maybe two more and then I think I'm done. The top of my list is Michael Cohen's book and then possibly "Melania and Me".

(11,045 posts)That's not Kellyanne, but it is George..

(47,259 posts)The possibly Kellyanne would come home with the stories of what had transpired and George may have started keeping a record. Still, he's not quite what I pictured when reading the author's words.
Whoever it is, he/she (sounds rather male) is someone I could respect, but at the same time, disagree with profoundly when it comes to politics and domestic policy. This person does not like Democratic policies for the most part, but really seems to have a lot of experience in foreign policy, possibly someone who is or has worked in the State Department. He/she respects our institutions and plays by the book.
I wonder if anonymous is still working in the administration and if he/she plans to reveal their identity.

(8,445 posts)So it wouldn't surprise me a bit.
I remember she and her husband bought a $7MM home in the DC area a couple years back. Gotta make mortgage somehow. Her grandfather was an infamous mobster hit man in South Jersey. She grew up in her grandmother's house; grandad lived on the lam but visited a lot.

(11,241 posts)My impression of Conway as a mouth piece -- is that she's a full on humper. If she's conflicted about any of this -- she does a real good job of suppressing it.

(13,460 posts)Especially since her husband is a never-Trumper.

(9,943 posts)... not. However, she has probably started - or completed - her own book... and, her aim will be to make Money; she will not be loyal to Crooked Donald. They are cut from the same cloth.

(6,698 posts)She's contributed way too much to the damage, especially that speech the other night. She's fucking awful.

(2,886 posts)Previous statements of hers seem to contradict the views that she says she holds now. This position at the White House seems like a marriage of convenience. Im not saying shes a hypocritical opportunist, but, well, yes I am.

(5,678 posts)Kelly and her husband are really of the same mind. They both hate trump.
Shes faking it, to making it.
Kelly and her husband will co author a book together when trump is through in November.

(8,445 posts)The book is probably already mostly written.

(47,259 posts)BUT then again, so did everyone. The bottom line is no one really LIKES Trump. They fear him, they use him, but most of them truly hate him.
His deplorable base doesn't count, as they don't really know him and they are brainwashed.

(12,165 posts)They had a symbiotic relationship, which seems to be coming to an end.
I don't think Conway was Anonymous, but I could easily be proven wrong. "Anonymous" tried to project this aura of caring about the country; Conway doesn't give a damn about the U.S. and its people.

(5,969 posts)she's way too deplorable to deserve any benefit of the doubt. If she'd be opposed to Trump, she wouldn't have enabled him every step of the way since 2016 and more importantly, her daughter wouldn't find her so damn repulsive.
