****DAILY USC DORNSIFE POLL FOR AUG 29****

Last edited Sun Aug 30, 2020, 05:00 PM - Edit history (1)

USC Dornsife is a daily head to head Biden v Trump poll.
https://election.usc.edu/

AUG 28 -- BIDEN -- 52.85
TRUMP -- 40.51

AUG 29 -- BIDEN -- 53.53
TRUMP -- 39.87

Add to this: ABC/IPSOS pOLLING INDICATES THAT THERE WAS NO TRUMP BOUNCE.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2020/8/30/1973510/-A-new-ABC-Ipsos-poll-shows-NO-Trump-post-convention-bounce

Don't believe the hype that there's a bounce for Trump or the numbers are tightening.

Stay enthused, stay vigilant, VOTE and ORGANIZE like we're 10 points behind, but don't let them gaslight us.

Shouldn't we panic and abandon support for all protest against racist police action because some rednecks in the trailer park don't like black lives matter?

hearing intelligence say Russia, Iran and China influencing election. Add in the travesty of trump impairing the post office. Add in that we can't campaign as usual with big rallies. Add in that people will be afraid to go to polls due to Covid. Will be happily shocked if we make it to other side.

Trump has committed hundreds of crimes but only was punished for one which is rarely even mentioned. When people see that...they figure, well guess he's not that bad if no one did anything.

Like watching your favorite team take an early lead and just holding your breath that it isn't gone by the end of the game.

Everyone in media wants a horse race, and of course Republicans want to believe they will win. But nothing in the fundamentals has changed.

Trump is a known quantity at this point. Conventions won’t change that.

Obviously Trump has a non-trivial chance of winning, and complacency is unwarranted, but smart money is on Biden, as it has been for months.

Do you have any idea why that might have happened? Earlier today, the link to the earlier DU OP showed the 538 site's tweet about DI. There was no rant or strong language, just passing on some information.

There's a large contingent of closet Trump voters who are lying to pollsters because they're ashamed to admit publicly they're for Trump but when they cast their ballot, it will be for Trump and everyone is going to be shocked again on election day.

is the awareness that they’re HOPING we’ll get tired and realize that it’s useless to keep fighting ... and so we just give up. (And maybe just go away).

That is what they want.

You hear it all over. Anyone notice the talking point that’s started to seep into the national consciousness? The “exhausted” thing? “I’m exhausted.” “This is exhausting.” “We’re becoming exhausted...”

THAT’S what they want. It makes conquest easier. It makes a takeover easier. You don’t have to work as hard or lose as much energy/blood/fighters/operatives/strategies when you’ve worn the opposition down because THEY do the finishing for you. THEY get tired or frustrated and THEY give up. Futility can be the offenders’ best friend. It closes the deal with less cost and/or effort.

And the mentality here seems pretty basic. They’re essentially lazy and self-entitled, so they really don’t want to have to work that hard. It should be easy, because, well, THEY are the masters, THEY are the Alpha, and they’re the entitled. THEY are the “chosen” because their “king” is the chosen one. He even said so during one of those impromptu White House outdoor press gaggles, half-joking about it. Uh-huh. Joking my ass.

So, better to just overwhelm and exhaust the opponent. They think, anyway. The opponent will get tired, frustrated, and most-preferably, dispirited, and give up. Or give up and go away. Or, most-preferably, give in.

Well, I WON’T!!!

I REFUSE!!!

I WILL NOT PLAY!!! Or, in this case, GET played.

They want us to get tired, overwhelmed, exhausted, worn down. And giving up. So they can just roll on over us and flatten us and rule.

And I. WON’T. DO. IT. No matter how tired or frustrated or despondent it may make me feel. That’s what they want.

So I AIN’T GIVIN’ IT TO ‘EM.

I. WON’T. PLAY.
