If God forbid tRump's reelected...

Could the PNW country of CALORETON maybe, just maybe become a reality? Or WACALORE or ORECALWA? I'd love to see my neighbors Wexit to Coeur D Alene. I'll even mass produce goodie bags for their trip.

Seceding and forming a new country would not be at all easy. Even assuming Trump wouldn't call out troops to forceably prevent that.

but we're the NE ...I wanted to be the authoritative voice on who's in, and who's out. The consensus was it wouldn't be so easy. Always the naysayer's.

Here is why Canada would welcome them into the Canadian confederation. New York and New England would provide a land bridge to the other Maritime provinces like New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in the event of a Quebec separation.

New York and Boston are more like Toronto and Montreal than they are like Miami or Dallas.

With no language in the Constitution restricting or prohibiting secession, it is a power left to the states via the 10th Amendment. Crack open the Constitution and you will see what I mean. Would there be legal challenges? Of course there would... right up to the SCOTUS.

Jefferson Davis was released after 2 years without charges because the federal government did not want such a challenge going to court.
