And, strictly anecdotal, experiences I've had recently with potential and previous but wavering Trump voters (according to them) have indicated that the idea that the ass backward narrative that all this trouble happening during Trump administration is somehow Biden's fault, sometimes with Obama tossed in.

It feels like a fig-leaf, people looking desperately for a big leaf to justify voting for Trump. Has anyone run into this attitude in RL or other places online?

Trump and some in the media are looking for a storyline to pitch as the reason for a victory while Russia does it psyops and cyber ops on our election.

If it's not this story, it will be that story- we can't cure stupid.

There are Trump voters but I believe there are more of us, more who are disgusted with his politics. Trump knows this. That's why he's attacking mail in voting. He knows he'll need "help" to win this election. We need to hit back hard and fast, get our surrogates and candidates airtime, use social media. Some of us are doing what we can via social media. Send the Biden, Lincoln project etc. videos to your friends and family. Have your facts lined up to counter the cult45's falsehoods.
We are in a battle, complaining and whining won't do a darn thing (not addressing OP specifically but all of us). My social media status is filled with pro-democracy/anti Trump tidbits. Whoever have issues with it, I care zero. I get push back from a few Trumpites, however, the facts are on our side. I mostly get support.

I disagree. To say that is to not learn from 2016. Yes, there are Trump supporters feeding off nonsense as usual but the trend is not being facilitated only by Trump supporters. Russian bots are always there lending a helping hand to these trends.

The silent majority fallacy is another Trump/Russian psyops. We seem to be falling for the same tricks.
There are voters of both parties who will not divulge their choice for various reasons. I know someone who will be voting for Biden but will not let her husband or family know because they are huge Trump supporters but she's fed up with Trump's behavior. She said that she knew she could not vote for him again after seeing kids in cages.

7. The MAGAts have a simple retort. I have seen it everywhere for months on social media.

They all say the riots/looting are in Democratic run cities and states, and Biden is a Trojan horse/sockpuppet who will cede power to the ultra-radical leaders of the civil unrest. I try and try to say the reason for the protests is the systemic killing of us PoC by racist coppers, but it very rarely works. In fact, most MAGAts 100% refuse to admit that there is any racism at all (or that the only racism is the ludicrous theory of reverse-racism.)

Finally, more and more (as they truly feel empowered now) openly come out and advocate for re-enslavement of PoC (never whites, even though whites make up the majority for both categories) on the dole and/or in the prison system. They often also say this chattel slavery will be good for the economy and will overcome the damage the 'hoax' of COVID-19 has done.

These are not all just anonymous randos. Sure many are, but a surprising amount use their real names or leave very easy clues to see who they are in real life.

I have very little hope that the nation can be stitched back together. Social media has ripped open the Pandora's Box of the worst undercurrents of evil (undercurrents that have always been there for 400 plus years), and given them a synergistic strength of numbers, scientific programming, and real-time action, eventually kinetic in nature.
