(4,250 posts)built large.box kites. The biggest was about 12 feet long and required several guys to wrangle it. On windy March days they would fly those things so high that they appeared as just a dot in the sky. And they were dangerous beasts (meaning the kites, but my brothers, too, I guess) and dragged those guys all over the field from which they launched. It was glorious fun to watch.

(18,402 posts)in what appears to be a healthy wind. And he wasn't entangled, he was holding on to the tail. We never see the actual 3-year-old; I'm wondering how accurate this is. Somebody was on the tail, but I'm not sure who.

(5,409 posts)When the kite is high and whipping around, something about the movement of the body is suspicious. Plus, no toddler would have the arm strength or presence of mind to hang on that long.

(970 posts).....the little 3-year-old girl got entangled in the strings at the end of the kite and was not holding on but was being lifted and whipped around by the wind.
She is one lucky little toddler.
Thank goodness she is safe!
