I wonder about the white-shirted guy who called him Jay, flipped him over, and initially shoved others away. Looked like a gun was on his right hip.

Then he fled after BRIEFLY talking to the cops. He runs off after yelling, "I don't fuckin' know! Fuck you!"

Maybe I've watched too many Columbo episodes, but could he have shot the victim and tried to use the protests as his alibi for not doing it?

Do ANY of the earlier videos even make it clear who shot the guy? I could never tell.

I watched the video above last night, on the facebook page of the person (Jerry Dunlap) that filmed it. I think he was the one that said the guy in white shirt was a friend of victim.

Last night the theory was that one of the two guys seen running away to the right was the shooter. That the victim sprayed mace or bear spray and then was shot. You can hear people coughing from the spray at the scene when the cops arrive. There were also claims that one guy had been ID'd but I'm not sure if that was true or people were getting ahead of themselves and just doxxing someone too fast.

A lot of speculation going on while I was watching the videos this guy was posting, but I haven't gone back to see how it all resolved so far.

... and seen running away immediately after the shooting was the culprit, but that was the first video where I saw the white-shirted "friend" behave so strangely.

Maybe warrants for his arrest? For a supposed cop supporter, it just struck me as very odd for him to run away like that.

30. The feeling was that he was freaked out

because his buddy just got killed. If I remember right, he is seen in later video talking to cops or people while on the corner, not far away from the site. So, he didn't run far away. Probably in shock. And the victim was reported to be wearing items that supported the pro-trump groups, like Patriot Prayer or one of those.

There were two guys that ran away right after the shot was fired--one in all black and one with more white on his clothes. The guy that was getting fingered as the shooter was the one that had tall white socks, and more white on his clothing. I was seeing this on twitter and it was all right wing guys posting pics of a person with same clothing walking earlier. Then they posted more of his face and had it down to who they think it is. That was kind of scary to me, good if they can get the shooter, but bad if it's some random innocent guy.
