I think the article is a little off in suggesting that Scott Atlas is trying to convince the Trump. What Trump wants is someone who is a Doctor (who has not publicly pushed the idea of demon sperm) to sign off on the idea of a rapid reopening. Just pray that Trump does not find someone with doctorate who is willing to sign off on drinking bleach.

The administration faces some pretty serious hurdles in making this argument. One is a lot of people will die, even if you can protect people in nursing homes, said Paul Romer, a professor at New York University who won the Nobel Prize in economics in 2018. Atlas denied the report after refusing to be interviewed until after the Post published. There is no policy of the president or this administration of achieving herd immunity. There never has been any such policy recommended to the president or to anyone else from me, he said in a statement issued by the White House. More than 183,000 Americans have died of coronavirus since the pandemic began.

(118,282 posts)You fill it with bleach and give yourself a refreshing enema. Then you take the oleander extract. And we have a vaccine. The best vaccine ever! But you won't need it. Because herd immunity will protect everyone everyone who doesn't die. But whatever you do, don't get tested. Getting tested causes it. So don't get tested"
