Gov. DeSantis says Quest Diagnostics failed to report nearly 75K COVID-19 test results; cuts ties with company

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health said Gov. Ron DeSantis is ordering all Florida executive agencies to sever their COVID-19 testing relationships with Quest immediately.

Officials said Quest Diagnostics failed to follow Florida law and report all COVID-19 results in a timely manner.

The lab failed to report nearly 75,000 test results dating back to April, according to DeSantis.

“Quest’s failure to report nearly 75,000 results dating back to April means most of the data in today’s upload - while it will have historical significance - will have little impact on the status of the pandemic today,” DeSantis said.

This seems like a great way to say the reason Florida isn’t testing is there aren’t enough testing agencies. Would be great to see all the data.

Wonder who's on the board at Quest labs and how much they've contributed to GOPpers.

In reality this lack of reporting was very convenient for DeSantis and his Master, IQ45.

This definitely bears further investigation as to exactly how 'accidental' it really was.

That he is trying to find an excuse for a big jump in cases or something. You know, "Hey ignore these numbers because it includes 75,000 test results that may go back to April... Quest forgot to report these, ignore the numbers, they are old... yadda.."???

Skeptical of anything covid-related that comes out of his mouth.

But with high ranking people in the Florida health department saying that DeSantis was intentionally holding back data, this seems to reek of a fuckery on the part of the Florida Republicans.

Under the bus they go. Quest should just come out and say he ordered them to cook the books. Even if it is a lie, everyone will believe it over deSatin.
