Seen quite a bit of hand-wringing from media pundits about something that is being called Red Mirage.
See, the theory goes that there will be so many more Donnie Dipshit voters that will vote in person on election day, while Biden voters will vote by mail, that on election night, it's going to look like a 50 state landslide for Dipshit Donnie.
The theory then goes that based on that, Donnie Shit for Brains declares victory and we all just go home.
Oh my! Whatever can the people responsible for reporting election results do???
I don't know, but I would think the people warning us about this possibility might devote some time to figuring out how to prevent Red Mirage.
Maybe not report election results until absentee ballots are counted.
Why report that Donnie Dipshit is leading 69-31% in CA when 99% of the remaining votes are waiting to be processed.
I guess our media is just "hopeless" to prevent something like Red Mirage.
It appears that their only responsibility is to tell us about it.
I guess if their toddler was about to walk onto the freeway and they had the chance to grab them and stop them, they would just turn to the camera and breathlessly report; my two year old is about to walk onto the freeway... let's see what happens"

(1,585 posts)Is that almost every state counts early voting and mail in votes BEFORE Election Day votes. If anything we will see Biden ahead in early results if early and mail ballots lean towards Democratic voters as expected.
I question the motivation of the group that put this out.

(34,407 posts)it's interesting the way they phrased their 'mirage'. Not that there may not be a winner on election night, but that Trump may appear to be the winner, and later Biden may turn out to be the winner. Very effing strange if you ask me.
