(82,849 posts)By definition, I think, a revolution is supposed to be against the established order. When the established order is randomly killing its own citizens, that is the action of a tyrant.

Rittenhouse's lawyer thinks his client is starting a revolution against... the guy he supports as president? Shit, that makes no sense at all.

(2,704 posts)And he needs a legitimate attorney. I don't know how he got hooked up with this nutball, but he is being taken advantage of. He needs a real attorney who will convince him to accept a plea which allows for parole in 15-20 years. There is no 2A issue here. He was a minor illegally possessing a firearm and thus had no right to self defense or a "constitutional right" to shoot anyone in THIS instance. While 1DM is not legally appropriate here, a lesser charge which includes the intent to kill is. This crazy ass is going to get his client convicted of 2DM with a life sentence if he keeps up this nonsense.

(42,674 posts)And other sources. A lot of money in this.
He started with a public defender. He was a disturbed kid who was bullied out of high school, and gravitated towards cops. I think he was trying for a youth academy and ride alongs. In his mind, cops protected him. He adored the police.
This is why the RWs use him and idolize him. Of all the disgusting things they do, using the fuck out of this kid because he committed murder, and they gleefully watch is the RW ideology in a nutshell.

(59,877 posts)The shot heard round the world was fired at an oppressive occupying colonial power. Your clients shot was fired at an unarmed citizen of the state he was living ina state thar your client does NOT live in, by the way.
By historical comparison, your boys murderous action was the shot heard round the block, and even then, only if one had no earphones with Van Halen streaming.

(4,644 posts)... the tyrant king and killing American Revolutionaries? Got it.

(12,443 posts)Sorry. This analogy is off base because Rittenhouse is not the 'brave, unknown patriot, he's a illegal, citizen soldier for the Mad King. This kid's lawyer fits right into the Q-mix. Disgusting. There is no defense for this kid's actions. He murdered two people and wounded a third. This wasn't a revolutionary act; it was a crime.

Pierce Bainbridge Beck Price & Hecht founder John Pierce is on a leave of absence from the firm as an internal investigation showed he accepted money from a lender for personal use, according to a statement from a law firm spokeswoman Monday.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that John M. Pierce accepted money from Karish Kapital LLC for his personal use. Mr. Pierce is on an indefinite leave of absence from the firm, said Holly Baird, who identified herself as a spokeswoman representing the firm.
Baird later sought to eliminate the indefinite description from the statement but provided no details on the length of the leave. She said partner Tom Warren has taken over as acting managing partner as the firm continues its investigation.

(107,969 posts)And he should be treated the same way we treat murderers in society. The fact that this is even being debated is another symptom of this sorry-ass administration.
