The first on September 29 will be moderated by Chris Wallace of Fox News.
The second on October 15 will be moderated by Steve Scully of C-SPAN.
The third on October 22 will be moderated by Kristen Welker of NBC News.
Meanwhile, the only vice presidential debate on October 7 will be moderated by Susan Page of USA Today.

(1,606 posts)Or, possibly, that the handlers of Chris Wallace (the REAL "dark forces" ) might craft questions behind the scenes that stack the deck with "gotcha" traps??
"Disappointed" is putting it mildly; Disappointed that the Biden camp agreed to this arrangement.
I'd add "suspicious."

(21,106 posts)#1 If anyone is "undecided" at this point, they aren't waiting on a "debate" to make up their minds
#2 My grandmother always told me that when you wallow with pigs, you always get dirty
#3 OrangeAnus isn't worthy of being on the same stage as VP Biden
#4 The moderator is ALWAYS biased, and I have watched a lot of these
#5 VP is the frontrunner. He has nothing to gain.
I could go on and on, but I have to go eat supper.

(18,402 posts)will be having input to the moderator's questions, for better or worse. It's not like the single moderator is flying totally solo. They're pretty much just hosts. Except for managing the time, etc. (which can be important), they're probably reading off a pre-ordained list of questions produced by a group.

No one from Mr. Giulianis list was ultimately selected.

Thinking back to Biden's debate against Paul Ryan, Trump might consider having a real bad headache on the three dates. Biden will flash that Joey-the-Shark grin and carve up Trump's responses into such teeny tiny pieces that even Trump could hold them in just one of his teeny tiny hands.
