Drive to my house to meet me. He's a busy guy.

I can't drive so its not likely I could get to DC to meet him. I'd have to ask everyone I know to get a ride to see him..

I still would love to have him over for dinner.I'd cook my best dishes, hope he likes curry. I'd ask my sister to make and send me one of her out of this world pies.

I feel like it's a nice fantasy tho.

But if he ever wanted to talk to a disabled low income person,to see how it is on my side of life,or to ask about improving public transport, I would love to be there for him.

Seeing him in person and talking to him awhile would blow my friggin mind ,however.

I thought Amtrak was a different thing than the Marc train in Aberdeen.

He answers his mail. And he’s interested in everybody’s story. I worked as a photographer on the Wilmington newspaper in Delaware and got a chance to see him up close often. He’s every bit what you see on TV. And he listens to everybody.

I know you joined DU later.

Maselli wrote a letter inviting the veep to the dance at Newington High School in Newington, Conn., and warned that if he turned her down, she’d have no choice but to ask House Speaker John Boehner instead. “And we can’t have that now can we,” Maselli wrote.

To her surprise, a hand-written note and a corsage of baby’s breath, white roses and blue and white ribbons from Biden arrived at her door the day before prom.

“I am flattered, but my schedule will not permit me to be in Connecticut on Friday evening,” Biden wrote in his note. “But I hope you will accept this corsage and enjoy your prom as much as I did mine.”

more at source.

I do recall that it was talked about here on DU.
