8. Men writing laws for other people...

This is what happens when men write laws that have zero effect on other men.
This is why a diversityof perspective is so critical to good governing.

Example: The Real ID Law that requires new Drivers licenses in most states.

Never mind that the DMVs have the very information already about who is who. To procurea new federally approved REAL ID, name changes must be documented. OK, who changes their names? Men? Really? When? Oh, it's women when we marry, or divorce and return to maiden names, or remarry and take another name. This law requires women to prove they are who they are with marriage licenses and divorce decrees. Men, who go through the very same ceremonies, don't change their names.

Seems to me a burden on women...

Highest divorce rates? In Southern States, controlled by GOP.

**Yes, I know Real ID requirements have been pushed back because of COVID. However, my point stands. Laws for others, not for themselves.
