16. Texas has a maternal mortality rate equivalent to a 3rd World country

That kind of thing happens when you close all the women’s clinics but one in a state that big because just possibly a woman might come in for Plan B or an abortion. Yes, there are clinics that specialize in this service, but the fanatics want all of them closed regardless.

Women’s clinics — especially Planned Parenthood — do cancer screenings, wellness checks, and prenatal care. But if for ideological reasons you allow fanatics to harass and kill doctors and nurses, and have the legislature run them out of business, this is what you end up with: dead women.
