He was visionary, and improved the country’s future during his time in office. I think his leadership was instrumental in making America the leader of the free world.

The idea that a man like trump now holds that position is enough to make me cry.

I don't think very many people know about the letter, these days.

A good tv movie: Tom Selleck as Eisenhower in Ike: Countdown to D-Day. Depiction of the tense 90 days leading up to the D-Day invasion and how Dwight Eisenhower, against all odds, brilliantly orchestrated the most important military manoeuvre in modern history. Some generals he had to deal with were prima donnas, too.
