...What I remember about, "I am not a crook" was it was so perfect an example of who Nixon was. Nixon was indeed a "crook."

...But Trump talking about dead U.S. soldiers in locations outside of the U.S., and refusing to visit
those places, is different. He was in Paris, and the amount of time to get there would have not been
a whole lot. Calling those soldiers who gave their lives, ..."losers and suckers"..goes beyond anything
a sitting President of the United States has done.

...Trump is done. Today is Friday..Wait till this gets to the Sunday news shows. Wait till everyone hears about this story. And everyone will hear about this. It is my opinion, but nothing Trump has said compares with
this.

...This story would be like talking about bombs in WWI and WWII...This kind and that kind. And then at

slowed down on his insults and denigration and attacks on military in many ways. Kelly himself stood at son's grave while Trump insulted him and did nothing.

are the ones too stupid to get out of it. He bragged about his own draft dodging exploits and they still love him.

Think of all the Men Of God who have been publicly exposed as rank sinners who still have dedicated flocks sending them money.

This story tells us nothing new. Trump has been trashing military members for decades, and he even did so quite openly during his campaign. It did not hurt his support.

My greatest hope is that it at least tamps down some enthusiasm among his base. I don't expect anyone to jump to Biden, but maybe some will not be so fervent in their support for trump.
