I have a family dynamic that require I find incubation period, symptoms, recommendations, etc. In other words, I need to educate myself so that I may stay safe, and help others. I visited the CDC site, and found I was not confident in what I was reading (even though it may be accurate). I feel as though it has been tainted.
Inquiry: Is there a source that is reliable? Can CDC info be trusted? I live in SoCal. I also need a reliable source that explains testing, and testing recommendations. I need info for people of several generations.

(4,243 posts)Yes I have always respected and trusted the CDC, even in critical situations. Now, I just don't have that trust. I almost feel like I'm asking Trump, and he would like me and my family to die.

https://ncov2019.live/
It's a data scraper - gathering and compiling numbers and posting the results to a dashboard.
It was built by a high school kid, but it works.
It is about a day ahead of the official Illinois' numbers - but it usually matches up pretty well
