(10,641 posts)I see you're in CA.
I live in the San Diego area.
Good thing Biden will claim the electoral votes from CA.
It feels great now that CA shifted from red to blue. I am north of you, just outside of Santa Rosa. It has been a real bummer with the fires out here. Have you been affected? If so, hopefully not too badly. Stay safe!

(10,641 posts)just hot.
I lived in the bay area from 84 - 95, between Foster City and Redwood City, before moving to SD.

(5,572 posts)know how bad this area could get with the fires/evacuations and then the air quality. Just as well that I am mostly indoors. Stay safe CA neighbor.

(10,641 posts)and I just had the attic insulation removed.
Getting the A/C installed later this month.
Then the insulation gets re-installed in the attic.
So, now I have to live with the heat for about a month.
If it's 85 deg. outside it is 87 deg inside.
Take care of yourself with the fires.
In 2005 I lived in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego.
We had a fire that burned down 350 homes in our community.
Then 5 years later we had to get evacuated because of another fire.
Tip, if you're under mandatory evacuation, your homeowners insurance
could pay for your stay at a hotel. Look into it before you're evacuated.
Last tip, we found that the garbage cans are what lights the house on fire
during evacuations. So when the second fire roared through Scripps Ranch
everyone moved their garbage cans to the street like they were getting
picked up. A lot less houses burned down.
