If they would have booed him off the stage his campaign would have been over then and there.
But they laughed.
They thought it was funny.
That gave him the OK to keep going and say worse.
Never forget they laughed.

(21,692 posts)Perhaps they are having more impact because they are compiled in one article.
Am I imagining it? I'm sure I have heard the Kelly story, the cemetery story, the McCain flag story, the losers story in the past.

(13,536 posts)republican, McCain might make a pretty good president. That was of course a real tentative "might". Then I said four years later, if McCain thought he'd be a good president, he should primary Bush. We sure as shit needed a better president by then.
It's amazing that Trump followers hate both of the previous republican candidates, or maybe not so much. The real reason is that they lost to a black man. That's also why the voter fraud fraud was ramped up. They make believe there was no way a black man could really have been elected president in this country.
They also hate McCain for the one encounter with the half-wit racist woman that said Obama was an "Arab". He straightened her out about that. That one was funny. Talk about confused. That was the only moran I heard call him an Arab. Muslim yes. Kenyan Muslim. But never Arab. She must have thought all Muslims were Arabs.
I'd be willing to bet that "loser" McCain was worth more than Trump before he became president.

(3,836 posts)pattern of speech for a while now. Seems he thinks he is delivering a stand-up routine. Sometimes his timing is pretty good and he gets a laugh. It's not what he says to his flock of lemmings, it's how he says it.They aren't really listening to him.. just waiting for the punch line and his tell-tale, intimate smirk.. just for them. And when they laugh, you can see what a rush it is for him.. it's a physical thing.
And also, when they laugh he feels he can go further and often does, because his audience is with him. He is sharing the 'secret joke' with them.
He uses his brand of "comedy" to control his minions and they are so stupid they believe he is smart and witty.
