They didn't tourniquet her legs because they thought it was too late already. They thought they were recovering her body. Only as they were preparing to airlift her out did they realize she was still alive. Told the story to Nicolle Wallace this afternoon.
And 45 questioned the value of looking for casualties and MIAs.

(14,309 posts)and write letters to the editors of our local newspapers urging it: RESIGN.
To those countering that he wont resign or cant because of his legal jeopardy I know, and that jeopardy is all the more reason to call for it.
I do not expect him to actually resign, but I do want his supporters to think twice. Calling for resignation is the kind of thing that will discourage them, and embolden us.

(30,738 posts)She had lost her first Congressional election and was the head of the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs at the time. She was the keynote speaker at one of our Illinois Democratic Women's conventions in Springfield.
She told the story without hyperbole or self-aggrandizement. She gave all the credit to her crew.

(63,221 posts)She has more bravery in her little pinky than the entire Trump family and all their ancestors combined. There is a huge yellow streak running through that family and it angers me that Trump or any of his family members feel that they have a right to comment on the service and bravery of any member of the military.
Thank you Senator Duckworth for your service. You are a true patriot!

(14,417 posts)He thinks the Germans were the good guys in WWI and kept a book of Hitler's speeches in his bedroom. He's likely a Nazi sympathizer, who thinks the Germans were also the good guys in WWII. He tolerates Kushner because he's rich. Not sure how he rationalizes his association with Stephen Miller.
