I had never heard that story. So they scooped up what was left of her body and didn't even put a tourniquet on her blown off legs because they thought she was dead. But they still risked their lives to bring her body back, because WE NEVER LEAVE A SOLDIER BEHIND. Then, when they got her back to the base, they realized she was still alive! And the rest is history.

As she pointed out, if the "never leave a solder behind" rule is ignored, like Trump had suggested, we would have a LOT tougher time recruiting for the armed services!
