If Trump expressed admiration and respect for me, I'd start to wonder what it was I was doing wrong...

(3,001 posts)I truly hope the Biden campaign and/or Lincoln Project can do an ad that compiles the disrespect Trump has consistently shown our troops and veterans. From his Cadet Bone Spurs days, to John McCain slams, to ignoring bounties on US soldiers' heads to this recent "losers" slander. Lots of ammunition there and as vets we feel it maybe more intensely but I think it resonates very widely with the voting public as well.

Jimmy Carter a true Christian and leader, if he liked me I would smile and say

(5,017 posts)about MAGATS - the greatest compliment they can pay me is their dislike and disdain. To be respected by them would suggest a lack of morals and values that would shame me.
You brought into his BS, and simply put,
you were used!

It doesn't bother me at all because I joined to serve and get money for college rather then going deep into debt with college loans. I have a number of friends in their 40's and 50's still paying off their college loans today. I have none. So four years of service has paid off. I also get free medical and mental health care. I receive medical prescriptions with a small co-pay. Some people I know go to the free clinic to get their health care or if they have insurance they have huge deductibles and co-pays on expensive prescriptions.
