16. I posted elsewhere that I couldn't understand how a boat could

sink in clear calm weather.

Now I know.

The big boats create really big wakes that can break over the gunnel of a smaller boat or worse break over the bow causing the boat to literally submarine.

That happens when an asshole in a big boat fails to recognize that proceeding at speed in proximity to small craft is a recipe for disaster. I've seen it happen.

Hope the owner of the big boat is arrested and charged for reckless boating and endangering others. The water is not a hospitable place for air breathing creatures.
