Denver weather: Record-setting heat wave this weekend could be followed by snow Tuesday
A dramatic weather change is setting up for Denver and northern Colorado as a record-setting heat wave is about to be sucker-punched by a massive blast of cold from Canada. Denver may see some snow on Tuesday, after a 90-degree high temperature Monday.
This is not usual, said Evan Direnzo, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Boulder. It will be a pretty strange thing.

(9,653 posts)Ride motorcycle to work, 70 degree early afternoon, 50 by 3, 30 and snowing by quitting time with a few inches on the ground then copping a ride home from a co-worker.
Or, the reverse with a storm blowing in one day, dropping a foot and the next day getting up to 60.
The dad term, "if you don't like the weather, hang around for ten minutes, it'll change" term certainly applies there.

(46,166 posts)I'm so hoping we wind up with it changing to at least above freezing. I worry about these creeping hummingbird trumpets because the hummingbirds are loving them right now. I just divided a lot of these and planted them all over the raised beds.
