...might be. Some might be planning 3rd party, but the numbers are so low the pollsters aren't even bothering to report those responses.
The only polls I've seen add to 100 are true binary polls. No 3rd option. PINO or Biden.
But, I'm with you.
How anybody could be undecided at this point is confounding?

I think some die hard Republicans are looking for Trump to do something right or Biden to stumble. People whom I have no reason to doubt. Say they'll wait until debates. Few but some.

the Covid threat, [apart from anti-masker type political statements]; suspect there are a number who just don't get it.

[For example, some fumbling with a mask to get into Walmart - complying, not angry, just don't seem to understand?]

the normal split in the US is a 3-way, with about a third each Dem/Repub/Undecided-Independent.

This election, it's beginning to look like that third leg is leaning heavily Dem. Or at least I hope so.

to political stuff the way we here at DU do. They don't read a newspaper. They probably don't read books either. Their TV is never tuned to any news channel or broadcast. They probably pay a lot of attention to sports and can tell you a lot about the Kardashians and other celebrities.

I agree that if you are paying any attention, it's hard to imagine being undecided, unless perhaps you are genuinely appalled at Trump's behavior and the awful things he says, but your family has voted Republican since 1856 and you simply cannot imagine voting for a Democrat. So you are still dithering about whether you'll vote for a third party candidate or just stay home.
