So to the best of my understanding, here's what happened at the Trump boating rally: several of the larger boats ran faster than they should have, because fuck government regulations and common sense. Their wake ran high, and was driven even higher by strong winds which nobody could possibly have seen coming (except anyone who's ever been boating). It ended up swamping several of the smaller boats, which were likely overcrowded because, again, fuck government regulations and common sense. Five boats sank, and many others were unable to move under their own power and had to be towed back to harbor.

My friends, has there ever been a more perfect metaphor for the Republican Party as a whole?
