Much of the time he was doing things that aren't what lawyers normally do. Additionally, there's the crime-fraud exception, which removes from the privilege any communications in which the client is asking how to commit a crime or the lawyer is advising him how to do it, or participating in it. There was a fair amount of that going on as well.

they always fail to mention what he lied about, and who he was protecting with those lies.
