the quicker they are to start recurve. Those storms are so far out, their chief threat is likely to be to shipping lanes.

Some of the long range models are calling for a new storm developing just east of the Leeward Islands in a couple of weeks. Were that to transpire, it would pose a greater threat to the U.S. However, that time-frame is just way too extended to bank on right now. Weather is far too dynamic for certainty in those predictions.
