Today, Joe Biden will travel to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Vice President Biden will join a virtual event from the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO headquarters to speak with AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, take questions from union members, and recognize Americas working families on Labor Day. Kamala Harris will tour an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) training facility and speak with IBEW members and Wisconsin labor leaders. Later in the afternoon, Senator Harris will attend a Build Back Better roundtable with Black Milwaukee business owners to discuss how a Biden-Harris administration will advance racial equity as part of our nations economic recovery.
Yesterday, in an op-ed written for The Kansas City Star, Jason Kander lays to rest the myth that our military overwhelmingly supports President Trump. In his scathing op-ed, Kander underscores the value that the military honors: leadership.
Yesterday, Black elected officials from across Nevada endorsed Joe Biden for President and Kamala Harris for Vice President during a town hall hosted by Attorney General Aaron Ford.
Friday, Joe Biden delivered remarks in Wilmington, Delaware on the economic crisis that has been worsened by Trumps failure to get the virus under control. And, Joe stood in stark contrast to President Trump, and spoke about how he would ensure that American heroes [military] will know he has their backs and honors their sacrifice.
