Regardless of what else happens during the debate - an avalanche of lies on the Bullshit Mountain is as good as money in the bank.

How should Biden react to it?

he would have to have accurate memory each time without making mistakes himself.

Easier for Biden to use a phrases like:

"You have made that claim many times, but you have never provided a shred of evidence to back it up."

or

"There you go again, making stuff up. You know that is untrue, but you keep repeating it."

or

"You keep repeating the same old tired falsehoods and you sound like the little boy who cried wolf."

ready to delivered the coup de gras when a moderator calls for a thumbs down verdict. Allow each candidate a limited number of challenges to question their opponent's answer.

If the candidates themselves to try to serve as their own fact checker they risk losing credibility, and Trump would turn the debate into a nonstop temper tantrum.
