(16,412 posts)In the early days, he expressed a drive to benefit humankind and the environment, which was the principle behind founding Tesla, and I applauded heartily. I don't know now if that was a false public face he was presenting to begin with or if he has betrayed principles he formerly held. Whatever the case may be, he's a collossal disappointment.

(16,412 posts)He could have been an American hero, but he blew it. I admired how he put everything on the line for Tesla in the beginning and there was no one to back him up. That took courage and I admired him for it, but now he's just as corrupt as most of the others in his income bracket.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
