Trump's crowd size in NC:

looks like less than a couple of thousand. I could be wrong. It's not large though.

We aren't far from where he is speaking- it's 76 degrees, partly cloudy. He's at a small, regional airport that has an airstrip big enough for cargo jets- so easy for Air Force One to land. Lots of parking there.

He's right between Greensboro and Winston-Salem- so roughly 550,000 people are in a 20 minute easy drive of the place. It's about an hour and a half from Charlotte.

I would say those numbers aren't great- especially on a night like this that is so pretty, and cool out.

The Republicans here just voted NOT to give teachers a raise or bonus for the year, so it's possible that group is mostly lost.

Air Force transporting the President is Air Force One, he hasn’t been using the 747s for these tarmac blathers. It’s a smaller jet using the same livery.

I know AF1 is not always a 747.

My point about the runways, and the size of the airport was more about parking and crowd size. They were set up for 10,000 apparently- in an area of over half a million people within easy driving distance.

he’s using don’t require the runway length of a 747. It can land at smaller airports the bigger plane can’t.

It was outside downtown somewhere. I don't know Greensboro very well. It was packed, I don't know how many people but probably at least 10-15k. Obama had been in Charlotte a week or two before (without Joe); I was at that one also and it was reported as being 20k.
