I knew that would come across as harsh. That was not my intent. Specifically, it's a media thing. Shark away my friend.

when I was 7 and sharks are responsible for 9/11 so they can all boil in a pot as far as I'm concerned.

are more likely to come near humans and attack, but they don't really want to eat humans. Supposedly we don't taste that good.

Seven News reported the surfer’s death was the first fatal shark attack at one of the state’s netted beaches in decades.

I am by no means downplaying this incident, but for the life of me, I cannot understand why so many surfers wear stuff that looks like a seal.

Some of my favorite actors come from Australia, and I have respect, but I couldn't deal with the spiders! I'll never go there unless it's a quick meeting where I don't have to go anywhere scary! Which is Australia!

...and look at the pretty waves rolling in. Then I go swim in the condo pool.

If you surf where great white sharks roam you are basically just serving yourself up like a top water plug in a well stocked bass pond.

There are plenty of fun activities on this planet in which one of the risk factors isn't being eaten alive.

Chess anyone?
