Trump Jr. On Alleged Shooter Roaming Kenosha With Gun: 'We All Do Stupid Things At 17'

https://www.forbes.com/sites/karenrobinsonjacobs/2020/09/08/donald-trump-jr-on-alleged-kenosha-shooter-we-all-do-stupid-things-at-17/#1f34d7e69ee1

TOPLINE When asked in an interview with the TV show Extra about the deadly shootings in Kenosha in which 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse has been accused of killing two protesters and wounding a third, Donald Trump Jr. said, “we’re waiting for due process,” and he lamented the tragedy of a “young kid” putting himself in a volatile situation while armed with a deadly weapon, saying, “We all do stupid things at 17.”

KEY FACTS

President Trump’s eldest son, who went on the show to promote his book “Liberal Privilege: Joe Biden and the Democrats Defense of the Indefensible," was asked by host Rachel Lindsay about one of the biggest political issues during the presidential campaign: the Black Lives Matter movement.

In discussing the shooting of Jacob Blake by a white Kenosha police officer, and the subsequent protests, Lindsay, who is Black, asked: "But why hasn't the Trump Administration or President Trump condemned what happened in Kenosha with Kyle Rittenhouse… coming across state lines and… murdering two people and injuring another,” referring to the homicide charges against the teen who traveled from his home in Antioch, Illinois, to Kenosha and, according to a criminal complaint, shot three protesters with a Smith & Wesson AR-15 style .223 rifle.

Trump said, “We're waiting for due process. We're not jumping to a conclusion… If I put myself in Kyle Rittenhouse['s shoes], maybe I shouldn't have been there. He's a young kid. I don't want young kids running around the streets with AR-15s… Maybe I wouldn't have put myself in that situation — who knows...? We all do stupid things at 17.”

When Lindsay responded “It's a little beyond stupid," Trump replied, “Really stupid — fine. But we all have to let due process play out and let due process take its course.”

Zero.

That I was accused of...also zero.

Trump-Loving MAGA Cop Who Blamed Tamir Rice for His Own Death Is Now a Homicide Detective

https://www.theroot.com/trump-loving-maga-cop-who-blamed-tamir-rice-for-his-own-1832334011

After a Cleveland, Ohio, police officer shot and killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice for the unconscionable crime of playing with a toy gun in a park, Loomis blamed Rice, saying, “Tamir Rice is in the wrong...He’s menacing. He’s 5-feet-7, 191 pounds. He wasn’t that little kid you’re seeing in pictures. He’s a 12-year-old in an adult body,” according to Politico.
