Polls question

I look at plenty of polls and one thing that I notice are the inclusion dates....some cover a week, some 2-3 days, and I have seen a few others cover a whole month.....my question is which one would be more accurate and useful?

1. Daily trackng polls are known to bounce around, but generally recent polling is best IMO

Dated polls are unable to factor in potentially game changing recent events. That's why so much polling slowed down during the convention weeks, waiting to sample what effect those events might have had. Right now newer polls might start reflecting fall out from Trump;s "suckers/losers" comments. Conversely though. long term trend lines are important also, as are cumulative averages. I have seen it reported that Trump hasn't led in any reputable national poll in months. THAT is significant
