Went to the doctor yesterday

My daughter was sick enough that if she went to school I think they would be mad. I had a sore throat that would not go away so I made an appointment too at my Dr. We told the dr her symptoms and had a strep test. Negative. A Covid test would take weeks to get back. Dr said it’s probably just a cold but you need to quarantine for 10 days. That would really suck. The free test place takes a few days at best. My only other choice was to set up a SECOND appointment for her with my Dr who has rapid tests. We did a teledoc thing which seemed so dumb. Like, don’t you need to look at my throat or anything? How the fuck are you diagnosing me exactly? Just get a Covid test. Anything else was hopeless. So after paying for THREE Dr visits, we got our tests and they were negative. No prescriptions for anything to get better. Wondering how much this is going to cost me. No wonder people don’t go to the dr. I wonder how many people were in my situation and didn’t see a doctor but DID have Covid. So I’m probably down $1000 for no reason. The testing situation sucks.

Our 35 year old son doesn't have a car and usually uses his roommates, but it's in the shop. He got sent home from work because he was coughing so much. Riding the bus to get tested wasn't right and of course Uber and Lyft don't drive sick folks and there are no places near him - so yesterday we took him to get tested. We all worse masks and nobody touched, but still, my husband and I were probably somewhat exposed. Today Travis has a 101 temp. and is so clogged up he can't breathe. He has routine sinus issues to the point where he can't smell so these issues aren't new and are hopefully part of his normal state - BUT I am still very scared. He lives with 2 other guys in a 600 sq ft, 1 bedroom place, so there is no real social distancing and the guy that owns the apt. has COPD. Oh yeah, on top of that, my husband is feeling sick, has a terrible headache. I am praying Travis is negative for CV19 and these are just both their usual issues. My husband has risk factors so I am very worried for both of them, and even me.

Prayers or good healthy thoughts will be appreciated!
