(3,282 posts)I am NOT a fan of populism, but the only way to beat a populist is to give the population some of what it wants.
Also, it's fair to say that we want more jobs in the United States if you are able to do that without disparaging the poor people in black and brown counties who are trying to feed their kids by making parts of microwaves for pennies.

There was a time when Walmart got almost all of their goods in this country, and the quality was generally quite good. They've been almost single-handedly responsible for the shift in so many American jobs to overseas. Plus, of course, they deliberately underpay many of their employees to the point many of them need to a get SNAP. I understand that they typically teach new employees how to apply.
