5. That's the iconic picture of our dystopian future

as climate change pushes temps ever higher in California. These massive forest fires and raging brush fires are the new norm.

We have no where near the firefighters needed, equipment, gear, vehicles, aircraft or ground support to keep everything functioning. And it's getting worse every year.

With so any fires, the air does get a chance to clear between one fire and the next this affects everyone from school kids, the elderly, those with respiratory conditions, people doing hard labor jobs, homes without central air... And on and on.

6. Now I'm thinking that Kennedy's challenge to Markey was a good thing.

It focused more attention on the Green New Deal and climate change in general.

7. Oregon is burning as well. In a press conference today our governor said that

the current fires across the state are likely to result in the highest loss of life and property in Oregon's history.
