The President Is Our Mass Murderer

What does it change that we now have Trump on audio telling reporter Bob Woodward that he knew back in early February that COVID-19 was airborne and dangerous, far worse, in his own words, than a "strenuous flu"? What does it change that we now can hear Trump say that he downplayed the virus to the public on purpose? In some ways, obviously, it changes nothing. It doesn't bring back the dead. It doesn't rebuild the lives shattered by the shutdown economy. It doesn't really make us understand Trump any more than we already did. We know that he is the motherfuckingest motherfucker anyone has ever met. We know that he was deliberately avoiding action on coronavirus until the mounting death toll and hospitalizations forced him to do something.

But what has changed today is that we know without a doubt that Trump wasn't just spitballing and gambling that the virus wouldn't be bad, despite experts outside of the federal government telling us it would be. He knew. He fucking knew. He knew it and could articulate how dangerous the situation was going to get. And he chose to pretend otherwise and lie to the nation, forcing others to lie, too. After telling Woodward it was worse than the flu, he tweeted the exact opposite, mocking the idea that it's worse than the flu. After telling Woodward that "young people" are susceptible to it, he said that children are "almost immune" to the virus. And no matter how many ways Trump and his ass remoras attempt to spin this as nobly trying not to panic people, there's a fucking world of difference between yelling, "Fire" in a crowded theatre and telling everyone to just sit still while the fire burns out. This is not fine.

Every single person who knew should have spoken. They should have given Trump the finger and told us, including Bob fucking Woodward. Because how the fuck do we trust anything now? Most of us didn't trust Trump, but we thought we could look at others, look at the CDC or Anthony Fauci and find the truth. But they all decided to stay silent, out of either blind or craven loyalty to Trump or the misguided hope they could mitigate the damage by staying quiet, the pathetic error that so many tainted public servants have made.

snip//

We knew Trump was busily corrupting every part of the government he could get his shit-stained fingers on. We knew that he was too fucking lazy to really take the action that he needed to take, as simple as that may have been. We knew that we needed to amp up production of masks and gloves and fucking tests. We knew that it was goddamn weird that it didn't happen. We knew that the only thing that matters to Trump is re-election, something that Fauci is quoted as saying in Woodward's book. Fuck, we knew that Trump was actually, actively evil and not just stupidly so. The cockscab wants violence in the streets (which is something that makes his claim of trying to prevent panic utterly laughable).

I'm not really shocked by what we've learned. I'm frankly only shocked that Trump went on the record with it. Which means that he thinks he was right to lie to Americans. He said that today, like he's some fuckin' hero for shutting down the information we needed to save our fucking lives. And by so willingly talking to Woodward, it also means that, even though he should be forced out of office and arrested, Trump believes he will suffer no consequences for his evil. And every single time, that has been proven correct. Even now, when he's killed people in the middle of every avenue, the president as our mass murderer. And that, dear Americans, is something we haven't seen in a long damn time.

Sometimes it feels like the sails on our skiffs are broken, and so we are just drifting on the shit sea, buffeted by the waves, wondering if we'll float to land before we die of exposure.

This reminds me Trump is not alone in this. He had a lot of help from McConnell and the Republican controlled Senate. They knew the score and they are as guilty as he is.

He's undermined and destroyed everything America stood for, developed over 100 years of bipartisan Congresses and Presidencies. It's as if Nazism came to life. It's a travesty to think that he's only evil because of his lame, lying, manipulative covid response. Evil was Job One on Day One.

If he would have reported on these items as he got them, trump would have shut the whole thing down. As it stands, we have a whole narrative WITH TAPES. I'm just wondering what Woodward was thinking to himself as Trumpo was blabbing. "Do you know who I am? Do you know my history of reporting on presidents like Thin Nixon?"

And I'm in full agreement with this:

Every single person who knew should have spoken. They should have given Trump the finger and told us, including Bob fucking Woodward.

Yeah, Bob fucking Woodward - how many lives were needlessly lost while he sat on this information so he could produce another best seller?

I get that the timing is propitious, coming out as it has, so close to the election. But I also think there's a "duty to warn" that ought to supersede all other considerations.

The fits and starts of the struggle to get on with our lives is fruitless as the pandemic continues to rage out of control in America. Don't be complacent; nothing is being done by our "government" to remedy the situation.

It probably took an hour for Jared and the rest of his shitty, swampy administration to figure out how to profit from our stockpiles of PPE and respirators. Once that was set in motion by March, The Dipshit has his 'I don't want to create a panic' excuse.

What changes, confirms to me, which I have thought for months now, is that Dumpster is no idiot dummy, but rather says dumb incomprehensible things, tweets misspelled words, all as a shtick to appeal to his idiot dummy base. And to distract the country from all the behind the scenes dismantling of government, pillaging of natural resources, and most importantly to control the narrative. “Who controls the past controls the future: Who controls the present controls the past” George Orwell. Orange devil clown controls the narrative, the news cycle, the “present“, in spades, like no other person in history, with the aid of our newfound technology; smartphones and social media. He loves the uneducated, remember? His only successful non criminal venture was the tv show. He’s an actor. Manipulation is his game. Playing an idiot, destroying truth and at this point, logic, is his forte. It’s all laid out in the authoritarian playbook. He’s following it step by step. What’s different about his gameplay from authoritarians historically, is his act is all out in the open, no one raises an eyebrow for more than a days news cycle. He’s a masterful trickster. In these Woodward tapes it is clear that this psychopath in the Oval Office knew exactly the situation happening in China, precisely the lethality of COVID-19, exactly how it’s 5x worse than the flu, is well informed on how bad even a regular flu is, and he’s right, most people don’t know how many die a year of the flu. These tapes reveal also his excellent ability to communicate with precision, this SCIENTIFIC information to Woodward. This is not the personality he shows on Twitter or to press. This is the real Trump. And he’s getting away with shooting everyone on 5th Avenue, on all the avenues in the country. He is the picture of a life of crime. Maybe everyone that got sick with Covid-19 should sue his ass. My point is, he is not an imbecile. Calling him a stupid bumbling idiot gives him a pass. He’s acutely aware of what he is doing at every step. Even the bizarre display in front of the church in D.C. is evidence of his intentionality, planning, designed to distract, inflame, shock, down to the minutia of holding the Bible upside down, while brilliantly mocking religion, his base, all the while testing their devotion and ultimately, testing his power. What has changed and confirmed by these tapes is his intelligence, complete understanding and knowledge of all dangers of COVID-19, and his decision to deceive and conceal information and thwart any kind of protection to our country. He is the number one mass murderer in US history.
