Other than fox, the press is hitting hard on the explosive Woodward revelations. While it will

take some time before we know the impact of this information on the public, based on lame excuses, and rationalizations, not only from his administration, but also the republicans in Congress, and right wing surrogates, it is quite possible that for a large segment of the population this will just be brushed aside.

I am not sure if people who have not been personally affected, even appreciate what 200 thousand deaths mean.

Let's remember that it only takes one or two votes in each precinct in a swing state to change the election. That's what happened in Wisconsin in 2016, and it could happen (hopefully to our advantage) there and elsewhere in 2020.

They have been doing something similar with the pandemic, but I am not sure it is actually registering

They WILL however repeat what they are told quite dutifully but the last 6 months of Trumps mouth can’t be erased.

6. We don't need to convince the hardcore Trumpers, they are never going to leave him

It's the reluctant Trump voters, the moderates, the independent, the lean right republicans (that are not hardcore Trumpers) that this is for. They are uncomfortable with Trump. They know his personality is faulted but voted or planning to vote for him because of "economy" or whatever else. They know the real impact of COVID and is affected personally one way or another. It's a win even if they stayed home instead of voting for Trump.

Now, they know that Trump willingly and knowingly lied to them. And on top of that, did everything publicly to downplay and go against all COVID prevention and led to the current outbreak and economic ruin.

I didn't think the "loser" and "sucker" comment is a big deal but this is a much bigger deal because it literally affects everyone. Even if you don't personally know someone who died from it, we all have adjusted our life for COVID, our jobs changed because of COVID, etc.

7. What Fox was showing last night...

Just curious what Fox prime time was airing last night as other news outlets were hammering Woodward tape revelations. I happened to tune into Tucker for a moment and he was airing the video loop of Nancy Pelosi at the hairdresser and interviewing the owner of the beauty parlor where Nancy visited. Very timely stuff and vital to national security (snark)

I understand the other parts of the evening were devoted to trashing Woodward for not coming forward and defending Trump for tryig to stop a nationwide panic.

This usually always works for them, but this time I suspect they are trying to shovel sh*t against the tide.

And the hits just keep on coming.

regarding what happened, then nothing will, and his comment that he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and get away with it would ring true
