(22,236 posts)It's been their game plan all along. Only thing is that most people are on to it by now, even some the dumber ones.

(5,526 posts)Has anyone even checked the statements/tweets put out by Biden. I would bet they do exist but that they were lost to the vacuum that the media had put Biden in during the spring.

(21,947 posts)The possibility of a pandemic is a challenge Donald Trump is unqualified to handle as president. I remember how Trump sought to stoke fear and stigma during the 2014 Ebola epidemic. He called President Barack Obama a dope and incompetent and railed against the evidence-based response our administration put in place which quelled the crisis and saved hundreds of thousands of lives in favor of reactionary travel bans that would only have made things worse. He advocated abandoning exposed and infected American citizens rather than bringing them home for treatment.
Trumps demonstrated failures of judgment and his repeated rejection of science make him the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health challenge.
The outbreak of a new coronavirus, which has already infected more than 2,700 people and killed over 80 in China, will get worse before it gets better. Cases have been confirmed in a dozen countries, with at least five in the United States. There will likely be more. [...]
Trump has blithely tweeted that it will all work out well. Yet the steps he has taken as president have only weakened our capacity to respond.

(90,764 posts)Trump goes around pretending he is running as an outsider. The current occupant of the WH is pretending to be a DC outsider. That everything wrong isn't his fault. How could it be? He's the outsider.
That all the bad he has brought is actually the fault of people, who were not in office, as the bad was taking place.
And his moronic followers are eating it up.

(82,849 posts)Wait; tell me again who was president back in January and February? How are the wife and kids these days, Junior? Usually a guy running around with his side piece keeps a slightly lower profile.

(100,068 posts)He and Obama setup a pandemic playbook about how to handle an outbreak like COVID-19, which Trump predictably threw out and ignored.
