Yeah? h/t @ddiamond
More from the thread:
At minimum, she needs to back out of the VP debate. But if she has ANY integrity, she needs to resign from USA Today.
Don't go to parties with the people you cover.
Don't take selfies with the people you interview.
Don't accept jobs from people you profile.
Jesus Christ, this isn't that hard.
So @SusanPage
hosted a "Girls Night" *in honor of* Seema Verma, a member of the Trump adminsitration who worked for Pence in Indiana, and we're to be expected that she can fairly moderate a debate in which Pence is a participant? Ridiculous.
Resign!
Does @USATODAY have anything to say about this? If she still has a job at the end of the day, that's just absurd.

(7,447 posts)I'm ordinarily lenient on these things but that's pretty clear cut and she should not moderate.
Another person should be selected.
Having said that, this will probably induce her to be hard on Pence to recover her honor.

(9,981 posts)Here are the names of the three co-chairs:
Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr. (chair of the RNC 1983-1989)
Dorothy S. Ridings (retired (80 years old, though she serves on several boards)
Kenneth Wollack (former president of National Democratic Institute)
The website is www.debates.org, although there is no contact information on their site. I found a reference from past years for a contact, which is
comments@debates.org
In past years, people have complained directly to the sponsors of the debates, but I could find nothing online about the names of the 2020 debate sponsors.
I dont know that other media will pick up this story because they might see it as picking on one of their own. It needs to become an issue.
