"not causing a panic" is a euphemism

for not crashing the economy. In other words, "I did not want to cause a panic because it would have crashed the economy, which is my only ticket to reelection." Once again, it is Trump's needs that win out over national security, the lives of the citizens, the rule of law, the environment, etc.

I think he meant to say, "I didn't want to panic investors."

The markets didn't begin to crash until Feb 21. They were still riding high when he spoke to Woodward.

So the whole notion is just fucking silly. It won't hold water.

would be held accountable? They thought Trump could continue to lie, unchecked. Makes sense given they lead a cult.

They were willing to kill people, to win an election. I can't wrap my head around the collusion involved in this.

He knew his rallies would likely kill some of his supporters. He did it anyway because he got more support from his death rallies.
