1. AND there are many idiots who ONLY get their news from Trump's mouth. If his lies were

exposed, those people might have questioned his insistence that this was nothing to worry about.

Because those people are the biggest source of non-compliance and virus spread outside of the Northeast, if those people heard Trumps voice saying it was deadly and dangerous, they might have been frightened, thus compliant, and lives would have been saved.

The point is that Trump knew in early February that a deadly airborne virus was going to cause a massive crisis in the U.S., and then spent the next six months telling people:

It's a hoax.
It will go away on its own.
It's just the sniffles.
It's just the flu.
Try hydroxychloroquine.
Try injecting disinfectant.
Young people are practically immune.
You don't need to wear a mask.
You don't need to socially distance.

And on and on and on...

It's not just "What did he know and when did he know it," it's, "What did he know, when did he know it, AND WHAT DID HE DO ABOUT IT?"
