He was not trying to "calm" the people or keep them from "panicking"...

He was lying to the people. He was deceiving them for political gain. He wanted to keep the economy going, along with the stock market, and he wanted to keep his "rallies" going. It was all about his own selfish interests, as Americans died.

or turn it around and weaponize the rhetoric.

He paused, froze, CHOKED for just long enough for it to get a little out of control. He couldn’t correct course because that would mean he’d been wrong. He’d failed. Can’t compute. He started trying to cover his tracks. Stop the tide from coming in.

He ended up completely bailing, dropping the ball off on the states.

charge of managing the COVID Virus ... how did that work out for us? Let's start a good old fashioned critical assessment of Trump's VP! The R's will, and are going after our VP Kamala Harris - fair is fair.

Trump felt like everyone must want to hear from me and ONLY I can fix it. This lead to the daily embarrassments that were the press conferences, complete with him crowding in to stay on screen. Those daily ass showings were incredibly damaging. People got a good look at who he is right in their living rooms. That’s when his numbers really started going south.

From there he was just sure he’d do great with the Axios interview and had already completed the Woodward late night booty call sessions. More Trump = more problems FOR EVERYONE.

today just remember how New Yorker's and American's handled that day and the aftermath. We did not PANIC. WE stuck together. trump's pandemic hit NYC. Remember that. NY had to deal with less then no help from trump. They dealt without panic and pulled through the avalanche of death. trump has such a poor assessment of the American people. He sees us as a bunch of fearful losers and suckers. Pure projection.
